What is the best option for me – online dating or a personal introductions agency?

Searchmate is unique in that it offers our clients all three possible choices – online, off-line and full personal introductions.

Online dating is ideal for people who are more concerned with dating that finding a relationship and for people who are confident and strong in their choices. You need to be someone able to judge how open someone is being with them and able to make good choices based on clear common sense decisions.

You also need to be able to use a computer and have plenty of time to do your own searching and selection.

Something in between is the unique Searchmate Express system – you retain your independence, choose your own matches from a secure database of clients just as you do online. BUT the difference is everyone on there has been interviewed by us, had to prove their age, ID and address to us and the great Searchmate team is there to help if you need them.

Personal Introductions – Searchmate has three personal introductions memberships. Our Platinum, Premier and Club memberships offer fully serviced personal matchmaking. All clients have been interviewed by us, your details are in a completely confidential database of clients and only accessible to the matchmakers who are hand selecting your matches. We work in partnership with you to build a picture of the one you seek and send you two page profiles to you. These are unlimited for the one or two years of your membership. It is a one profile at a time system and aimed entirely at couple creation.

Do You Interview Your Clients?

All our clients are interviewed. Our Club and Premier memberships include a phone interview and our fully inclusive Platinum membership includes the home consultation as standard.

All Searchmate clients have to prove their age, ID and address to us and sign our terms and conditions and code of conduct of membership.

Will my photograph be shown to anyone?

Our profiles include two pictures of you, you can supply these to us and change them at any stage in your membership. If you have a home consultation our consultant will take your picture for you.

If you choose our professional photographic package option our photographer will come to your home, take a dozen or so lovely pictures to give you and for you to choose 5 of your favourites for a special four page profile.

Will my personal details be kept in confidence?

Your personal details are safe in our database and only accessible to Searchmate staff. We are Data Protection Registered. If you approve a profile and that client has approved you too then we will exchange phone numbers for the introduction. This will be a number you have given us and approved to be given to introductions.

How does the matching process work?

The process we use is outlined in the Member’s Handbook you will receive when you join. It also gives you some very good advice on how to make the most of your membership.

When you have approved your profile the team will begin the search. A client selected as possible for you will be sent to you and your profile sent to them. If you both approve we exchange your phone numbers, if not we move on to find your next. This is very much a partnership, however, and your feedback positive and negative is crucial to us to guide us to choose your next introduction.

How many members do you have in my age group and area?

Our database is one of the biggest in the country and we have clients in every area of the UK and in every walk of life and age group. The database is dynamic and changes daily so it is impossible to number clients in this way at any given time. It is true to say there are age groups which are tougher for men and some which are tougher for women but this is why you need good, professional help to open doors and widen opportunities for you. Searchmate’s Platinum membership also includes a pro-active searching facility to widen choice still further.

Are there any age limits?

Our youngest client is late 20s and our oldest late 80s. Our latest couple to wed were 83 – age is just a number and we match based on likes, dislikes, personality and aspiration.
